UOG students donates to PCC

The students are all Senior High Schools and were accompanied by Yoichi Rengiil, Director of the TRIO program, a federal funded program that provides college education to deserving students in Guam.

Jon Rey Aguigui, Miara Leon Guerrero, Inez Perez III, Ronel Elizaga, Pauline Cruz, Jasmine Stole and Dominic Castro handed a cash donation amounting to $225 to PCC’s Dean of Students Marensia Edwards.The donation was held on Monday afternoon at the PCC campus ground.The money came from the students own pockets.The students travel to Palau was funded by the TRIO program.“It is our way of giving back what the program has done for us,” he said in an interview on Monday.Aguigui said it’s his first time to Palau and he finds the place “very interesting.”“How they keep their customs, it’s very interesting,” he said.The students arrived here on Friday and will be staying until April 12.They are scheduled to visit different States during their stay.Director Rengiil thanked the families that host during the stay of the students.He also thanked the staff, the admin and the teachers of the Belau Modekngei School for hosting for the students stay while they were in Babeldaob.The students are staying in Green Bay hotel in Ngermid.
