Pagaragan has been coming to Palau regularly to recruit interested Palauans to join the US Marine Corps. This year, he will be on the island on November 6 to 7.
“Being a marine is not easy,” Pagaragan said.“It takes hard work, dedication, motivation, physical and mental strength. But above all else, it takes heart. That inner drive that tells you never give up, never quit!”
Paragan said among the benefits of being a marine include great start pay and regular raises, technical training in a wide variety of jobs, free meals and housing along with free medical and dental care, tuition paid while on active duty, an opportunity to travel, commissary and exchange usage and 30 days paid vacation plus weekends and holidays.
