Vehicle stolen at PHS parking lot, found later at Topside area

Bureau of Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that a person flagged down a police officer on February 24 at 12:20 am and reported that a vehicle which was parked at the parking lot of Palau High School was stolen.

Police investigated the incident.At 2:10 am that same day, the vehicle was spotted abandoned by the Topside area.The vehicle was transported back to the Palau High School and was returned to the owner.Aguon said nothing was reportedly stolen from the vehicle.On February 21 at 2 am, a 21-year-old man was arrested for drunk driving while traversing in Ngerbeched.Aguon said a police officer called the station via radio and reported that they were chasing a vehicle in Ngerbeched.The officer reported that they pulled over the driver and subjected him for sobriety test.The driver failed the test and was later charged with DUI.Aguon identified the drunk driver as Sanford Stefano.A car collision was also reported to the police on February 21 at 7 pm in Ngerbeched.An SUV was parked in front of SNS when a sedan reversed and hit the SUV.Aguon said the driver of the sedan fled after the collision.The SUV sustained minor scratches to the side.
