WOMEN entrepreneurs have been meeting at the CNMI Women’s Association office on Capital Hill since Saturday, Feb. 11, to brainstorm and help each other with their business ideas.
The meetings are part of CWA’s Women’s Entrepreneur Project Cohort III: Entrepreneur Sprint project.
“This is a good way for women business owners or even those who aspire to have their own business to meet and address the challenges they are facing in a ‘sprinting’ kind of way. What will take months or even years to find solutions will be addressed in less than a week’s time in this program,” CWA Project Director Valentina Rivera said in an interview.
The first day of the event was a meet-and-greet and a discussion of the problems the six participants are facing. Each then shared her business ideas.
The program will run for three weeks from Feb. 11 to 15, Feb. 18 to 22 and Feb. 25 to March 11.
Each participant will have a chance to discuss in depth the issues she is facing and receive the full support of the other participants in identifying possible solutions.
Today, Monday, a participant will design an actual solution to the challenges she identified in the previous days.
Rivera is encouraging other women entrepreneurs to take advantage of this free program.
“Find solutions to your business problems in just a few days compared to wasting time, effort and money testing something that will not eventually work in the end,” she added.
