The master carver for the canoe was Chief Bruno Tharngan.
Due to the tide schedule, the launching of the outrigger canoe was held on Aug. 20.
The canoe was taken for a short test-sailing within the lagoon in the afternoon before it was taken back to shore at Gachpar.
YTNS will offer canoe rides during the upcoming Canoe Festival later this year.
