IN his first criminal defense trial, attorney Anthony H. Aguon successfully defended his client, Jin Keun Kim, who was accused of theft in Superior Court.
“As defense counsel, I worked hard to protect Jin Keun’s constitutional rights throughout the trial,” Aguon said. “The members of the jury heard several days of evidence and ultimately handed down the right verdict of not guilty. We respect the jury’s decision and are forever grateful for their service,” Aguon said.
Following his participation in the CNMI judiciary’s summer pre-law program in 2014, Aguon went to law school and obtained a law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law and School of Management in 2018.
A Tinian Jr.-Sr. High School graduate, Aguon, 35, now maintains his own law office on Saipan.
