Young netter invited to play in New Caledonia, New Zealand

Rengiil is heading out in November to face other young netters from Australia, New Zealand, Japan and New Caledonia in the 12 and under category for girls.

In the December tournament, Rengill will join young girls and boys in the 12 under and 14 under categories to play in the New Zealand tournament.

Joining Rengiil in the sports event slated in New Caledonia and New Zealand is Guam’s Nadine Del Carmen.

Rengiil bagged the gold medal in the POJC tournament beating Del Carmenin the category of girl’s 12s finals.

Rengiil swept all her matches beating older girls.

The POJC featured the best junior tennis players from the Oceania region. The North Pacific team is composed of Guam, Saipan, Palau, Federated States of Micronesia and Kiribati.

Rengiil continues to train under her mother’s tutelage, Attorney General Ernestine Rengiil.

Ernestine is conducting a weekly training for young tennis enthusiasts who in the future can compete in international tournaments.

Ernestine herself is a Micronesian Games tennis gold medalist.
