THE Blue Jays continue to soar in the 2023 Tan Holdings Saipan Baseball League after trouncing the Natives, 11-2, Friday at the Francisco “Tan Ko” Palacios Baseball Field.

The opening inning went by quick with the Blue Jays gathering three consecutive outs.

In the bottom half of the first inning, first at bat James Salalila of the Blue Jays took advantage of the Natives’ defensive errors as he rounded the bases and stole home to give his team a 1-0 lead.

The Natives retaliated in the top of the second inning with Larson Sibetang finding his way home to even the score, but the Blue Jays scored five runs led by Alden Ngeskebei and Jobe Reyes who each contributed two-RBI singles to regain the lead, 6-1.

The Natives kept their heads up with a single in the top of the third, but the Blue Jays continued to capitalize off the Natives’ defensive errors, slipping in four runs in the bottom half to extend the deficit, 10-2.

The Natives were only allowed five more hits but with no runs while the Blue Jays’ Kier Agda earned an RBI via sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth to seal the deal, 11-2.
