THE 6JMS Darteros added another trophy to their collection as they claimed the A+ Division title of the SEDA Bud Light Dart League by edging the True North Mafia 1, 9-8, Wednesday at the 6JMS Sports Bar.
There were several lead exchanges throughout the match with Mafia 1’s Derick Ayuyu and Jayson John drawing first blood and Darteros’ Eric “Last Chance” Durano and Albert “Just Once” Guevara winning the other Partners Crazy Cricket game for a 1-1 tie.
In the one-on-one scene, Durano gave the Darteros the lead with the first win in the Singles 501 game, but Mafia 1 struck back with two consecutive wins courtesy of John and Joker Camacho.
Darteros’ Burth “Imported” Dacumos then triumphed in the fourth round for a 3-3 tie.
In the Partners Regular Cricket, Mafia 1 grasped control as their team chemistry outshined Darteros for a 2-win sweep followed by the third split of the night in the Partners 701 game.
However, the Darteros managed to work their way back after Omar “LoverBoy” Quindoza, Dacumos and Guevara triumphed for 3-1 run to even the score once again, 7-7.
After another split in the Partners Half-It game, it all came down to the final Team 1001 Cherry In/Double 1 Out game which was highlighted by the precision and accuracy of Darteros’ Dacumos, Durano, Guevara and Quindoza who bested their Mafia 1 opponents to clinch the ninth and final win needed to secure match victory, 9-8, and take home the A+ Division Bud Light Cup.
