TAMBAYAN Distorted and Pepoy’s 101 Proofers defeated their respective opponents Monday in the “A” Division of the SEDA Bud Light Dart League.
With 24 wins, Tambayan Distorted remains at the top of the food chain after thumping Jonny’s Ridin Darrty, 12-5.
Distorted was in complete control throughout the match. In the opening Singles Regular Cricket game, Derrick Ayuyu, David Buekis, and Elton Santos showcased their precision to take the lead with a 3-1 run. As a team, they excelled with a clean two-win sweep and followed through with another 3-1 run in the Singles Half-It match to extend the gap, 8-2.
Ridin Darrty finally got out of the gutter by splitting the Partners Crazy Cricket and Singles 501 Double In/Double Out matches. But Distorted claimed the final Team 1101 match to seal the deal, 12-5.
Victorious, too
Pepoy’s 101 Proofers also tasted victory by slaying the 6JMS Drunken Dragons, 10-7
In the one-on-one scene, the Proofers shined as they opened a 3-1 run thanks to Nestor Abing, Orly Paconian and Rolly Bemiso.
Although the Dragons replied with a 2-win sweep to even the score, the Proofers returned fire with another 3-1 run in the Singles Half-It match to regain the lead, 6-4.
The Dragons continued to fight back but the Proofers maintained control, splitting the next two crucial matches to secure the win while also bagging the Team 1101 match for an added bonus, 10-7.
The Tambayan D Tribal Slashers joined the winner’s circle by outplaying Jonny’s Man Amigos, 12-5, while the Rendezvous Mafia bested the 6JMS Thunder Darts, 12-5.
