Eunae Jang tops women’s golf tourney

EUNAE “Sophia” Jang ruled the CNMI Women’s Golf Association’s first tournament of the year at the Laolao Golf & Resort west course on Saturday, Jan. 22.

She struggled on the front nine with a gross score of 50, but with a few tweaks in her swing, she managed to close the back nine with a gross of 46 for a total gross score 96. With a handicap of 23, her net  score  was 73 which gave her the top spot.

In second place was Sherlyn Jones who shot a gross of 46 and 45 on the front and back nines for a gross total of 91. However, she fell short with a handicap of 16 which gave her a net score of 75.

Coming in third was Doll Yamagishi who shot a gross of 49 and 47 on the front and back nines for a combined gross of 96. Thanks to a handicap of 20, she made it to the top three with a net score of 76.
