FRANK Ermitanio bagged the Amigos Golf Club’s May Ace of the Month title on Sunday at the Kingfisher Golf Links.
Ermitanio led the qualifying round, held on May 7, shooting a gross of 82. With a handicap of 16, his net score was 66.
The ace round proved to be the tougher half of the tournament as last Sunday’s weather conditions played a factor. Ermitanio finished the west course with a gross of 88 which gave him a net score of 72.
With a combined two-day net total of 138, Ermitanio earned a spot on Amigos Glof Club’s list of monthly winners.
As for the par 3 winners, Rick Sablan led the list on hole #3; Frank Sablan reigned on hole #7, Fred Cataluna triumphed on hole #13; and Jay Muna ruled hole #17.
The June Ace of the Month Tournament will kick off with a qualifier round on June 4 at 8:30 a.m. at the east course of the Kingfisher Golf Links followed by the ace round on June 18, 8:30 a.m. on the west course.
