Golf tourney raises $25K for Ronald McDonald House of Charities

THANKS to a successful turnout in a golf tournament they hosted Saturday at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort, McDonald’s Saipan & Guam’s co-owners Marcia and Joe Ayuyu Sr. presented a check of $25,000 to Brian Wong who will donate it to the Ronald McDonald House of Charities.

Wong is a McDonald’s franchise business partner from Hawaii.  He is a business coach and primary corporate liaison for all assigned franchisees representing 60 locations in Hawaii, Guam, and Saipan.

“What we are going to present now would not have been possible today if we all did not come together,” Mr. Ayuyu said. “On behalf of our McDonald’s family and the community, we want to present to the Ronald McDonald House of Charities a sum of $25,000.”

He added, “I hope you will take this check and give it to the house and put the money to good use and help those kids out there that are less fortunate than us. Despite the suffering, we are here as a community to do everything we can to support them.”

The Ronald McDonald House of Charities is an independent nonprofit organization that gives families a place to stay together, close to their sick child in hospital.
