HAGU Lamun collected their 10th win in the 2022 season of the Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball League after outplaying Momma Charu, 21-8, Sunday at the Dandan baseball field.
Momma Charu had a great start as Hagu Lamun pitcher Rodney Camacho struggled to find the strike zone and allowed three runs out of four scored via walk to give Momma Charu a 4-0 lead.
However, Hagu Lamun bounced back in the bottom of the first inning with an explosive offense.
Momma Charu quickly snagged two outs, but as soon as Hagu Lamun found their footing, they could not be stopped, delivering 15 runs to take over the game.
Errors compounded Momma Charu’s woes as they gave away two free runs.
For their part, Hagu Lamun’s Mitch Aaron hit a two-RBI double while team mate Rochard Quitugua belted a three-run homer and the rest of the team earned RBIs of their own for a 15-4 advantage.
Momma Charu fought back with three runs while preventing Hagu Lamun from scoring in the second inning to cut the lead, 7-15.
However, Hagu Lamun regained momentum in the bottom of the third by delivering five runs and one more in the fourth while Momma Charu could only score one run to remain way behind, 8-21.
After failing to score in the fifth inning, Momma Charu decided to call it quits to hand Hagu Lamun the early victory.
Man Amigos vs Aimeliik
Man Amigos bagged their 10th win of the season by defeating Aimeliik, 11-4.
Eric Palacios led the Man Amigos assault with three RBIs while Pete Sablan delivered two. The two also contributed one homerun each.
