JESSE Stole claimed the Marianas Golf Association’s December Ace of the Month title with a net score of 68 on Sunday at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort east course.
Stole did not have the greatest start on the front nine, which was marred by bogeys, but he made two pars for a gross of 44.
On the back nine, Stole adjusted his swing but made two bogeys on holes #10 and #11. He then scored a birdie on hole #12 followed by three consecutive pars before making another bogey and another par to end with a gross score of 85.
With a 17 handicap, his net score was 68 which was the same score of Cal Yamagishi who also shot two birdies.
However, in the scorecard playoff, Stole bested Yamagashi who has a handicap of 18.
Coming in third was Patrick George whose total gross score was 90, but whose 18 handicap gave him a net score of 72.
