RUN Saipan has a new uniform for its race officials.
“Now, whenever we run events, the people officially under our all-volunteer headquarters will be rocking blue and gold color-way uniforms from now on to differentiate between our members who are in charge of Run Saipan events and the regular members who are participating as runners,” Run Saipan President Edward Dela Cruz Jr. said.
Currently, he said the non-profit group has 28 members who help organize the races as volunteers.
“I chose blue and gold in honor of the most desired marathon of the Abbott World Marathon Majors, the Boston Marathon,” Dela Cruz said.
But he added that Run Saipan will change its uniform apparel theme yearly.
“This year’s unform apparel will be green so the blue and gold will definitely distinguish our HQ staff from our regular members,” Dela Cruz said.
