JOSEPH Santos and Ellery Cruz topped their respective classes in round 3 of the Marianas Racing Association Points Race Series on Sunday at Cow Town Raceway Park.
Santos ruled the novice class after battling last month’s winner, Ethan Yumul.
Yumul sped through heat 1 with finesse to finish first, earning 25 points while Santos came in second to garner 22 points.
In heat 2, Santos led the competition to collect 25 points while Yumul settled for second place for 22 points. Although both riders shared a total of 47 points, Santos’s heat 2 finish gave him overall first place.
Yumul was overall second while Bob Ferrer with 38 points was third. Keoni Macaranas with 34 points was fourth while Aric Cruz with 30 points was fifth.
Expert open class
In the expert open class, Ellery Cruz cleared both heats well ahead of the competition to emerge triumphant with a perfect 50-point performance.
In second place was Dave Celis with 42 points, followed by Patrick Togawa with 38 points, Champi Villacanes with 34 points and Malvin Cepeda with 31 points.
Veterans class
Dave Celis, for his part, was numero uno in the veterans class with a 50-point finish.
Champi Villacanes clinched second place with 42 points, beating Melvin Cepeda who finished third with 38 points. Glen Pangelinan was fourth with 34 points and Charles Cepeda was fifth with 31 points.
Intermediate class
In the intermediate class, Corry Pangelinan was supreme, garnering 50 points. Tristan Sablan came in second with 44 points, followed by Henry Camacho Jr. with 40 points, Melvin Cepeda with 36 points and Byron Castro with 32 points.
Big Boy ATV
In the Big Boy ATV class, Christian Camacho recorded his third consecutive 50-point performance to again finish first overall.
Henry Camacho finished second with 44 points while Rex Susulin settled for third place with 40 points.
