JSN Construction has yet to be defeated in the masters division of the Legends Sports Association Invitational Basketball League, earning their third consecutive win by edging Vizion Construction, 87-86, Sunday at the Koblerville gym.
Vizion controlled the opening quarter as they showed consistency on offense. Leo Itaas ignited the team’s momentum by scoring four points while Ariel Baul and Fradel Sedillo added two buckets each for an early double-digit lead.
Although JSN finally found their rhythm with Jun Tabora on the attack, they still struggled and trailed, 14-21, moving on to the second canto.
Despite the rough start, JSN managed to flip the tables as Vizion fell to an offensive slump. JSN’s big man, Jorge De Guzman, constantly attacked the rim to find himself at the charity line, scoring 11 points to tie the game, 39-39.
JSN continued to thrive in the third quarter with James Abuy finding his range from beyond the arc and sinking two triples while Ting Alegre and Tabora chipped in their fair share.
But they could not get Vizion off their backs as Sedillo was still a threat from the perimeter while Rodney Catalla delivered two triples to cut JSN’s lead, 65-67.
The seesaw battle continued in the final quarter but as the dust settled, it was JSN that came out triumphant thanks to the clutch performance of Melvin Villarin and De Guzman’s split in the free throw attempt to escape with the win over Vizion, 87-86.
Joining the winner’s circle was Blue Haus with a dominant victory over Legends Elite, 106-86.
