THE Kanoa Football Club continues to thrive in the U15 boys division of the Summer 2021 Youth League after dominating the Paire Football Club 6-1 on Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center.
Kanoa’s players were quick on their feet as they went for the kill as soon as they took possession of the ball.
Four minutes into the game, Kanoa’s Markus Toves found the back of the net. Four minutes later, Leland Deleon Guerrero delivered a second goal to widen Kanoa’s lead, 2-0.
In the 33rd minute, it was Vicente Reyes’s turn at the trigger, allowing Kanoa to take a commanding 3-0 lead.
After the halftime break, Paire’s players finally scored their first goal courtesy of Zhi Li.
But they failed to maintain efficiency while Kanoa’s players picked up where they left off, scoring three more goals.
Silvestre started the run a minute after Paire’s goal while Isaiah Jolo and Ruben Guerrero contributed a point each to seal the deal for Kanoa, 6-1.
Matansa vs Tan Holdings
The Matansa Football Club was also triumphant on Saturday, beating the Tan Holdings Football Club 5-1.
Matansa’s aggressive start was rewarded with a goal delivered by Philip Megino in the 6th minute.
The Matansa players’ continuous pressure left THFC in the dust as three more goals were added by Isiah Hossain, Jerome Mettao and Megino.
In the 39th minute of the second half, THFC finally scored thanks to Daniel Sano but it was still not enough as Matansa’s Pritom Sen added the icing on the cake in the 51st minute to clinch victory for his team.
