19 teams to join the men’s Inter-government/Business Softball League

Interested teams in the government section are as follows: Department of Community & Cultural Affairs, mayors office, Procurement & Supply, Commonwealth Utilities Corp., Public School System, Division of Environmental Quality/Coastal Resources Management, Commonwealth Ports Authority, Legislature, Parks & Recreation, Commonwealth Health Center, Hopwood Junior High School, Judiciary and Customs.

On the other hand, interested teams in the business sector Beach Boys, FreedomAir, Joeten, Pacific Islands Club, Saipan Cell and Pacific Oriental Inc.

Dela Cruz added that in the women’s division, six teams have indicated their interest to join the league.

“For the men’s division, we will play one round of a round-robin format,” he stated. “Top 10 teams will qualify for a double-elimination playoffs format.”

The women’s division, he added, will play three rounds in a round-robin format.

“Top four teams will qualify for double-elimination playoffs format, Dela Cruz said, saying that “all teams that are going to participate in the Men’s and Women’s Inter-government/Business Softball League need to pay the entrance fee of $350 before they can play.

“This league will enforce a ‘no pay, no play rule’ [policy],” Dela Cruz said.

Deadline for payment of fee will be on Wednesday, October 22 at 9:30 a.m. for the men’s division.
