Joey Dela Cruz, one of the newly organized sports group said that from the 20 teams they initially targeted, the number of players who showed interest in the league has increased just enough to have 21 softball teams.
However, since only two teams have come forward, they have cancelled the women’s division.
The Chamolinian Softball Association Inc., earlier planned to have 20 male teams and five female teams to move ahead with the league.
But since the rest of the interested female teams failed to beat the deadline, their slots were given to other men’s team who are interested.
