DCAA clinches playoff slot in Inter-gov’t/business caging

Iginoef sizzled with 10 of his 18 points in the final quarter while Taj Van Buren connected a series of lay ups and fired nine markers to eliminate Bank of Guam’s strong lead.

Peter Camacho invested more in penalty shots to protect the their slim advantage and Van Buren added two free throws for their four-point victory.

BoG mounted the attack earlier in the first quarter, with Jason Taisacan leading off a two-pointer, then, blasted from outside the rainbow territory, and Peter Iguel completing three fast breaks.

Iginoef however, turned it over with a two-pointer to end the first quarter with DCCA enjoying a one-point lead.

This aggravated BoG’s rage. Taisacan bombarded DCCA with two three-pointers and Iguel kept the surge to take the lead again and stretch it in the second quarter.

BoG put more clamps on DCCA’s offense in the beginning of the second half to hand on to their lead.

Despite Elias Rangamar’s three-pointer following an easy lay up, DCCA was only able to trim BoG’s lead down to six points at the end of the third quarter.

The game went neck-and-neck in the middle of the fourth quarter as Iginoef rampaged with two-pointers and Van Buren chipped in nine points. On the other hand, BoG’s Iguel and Dave Palacios blasted from behind the arc.

It was a game between speed and cleverness, and cleverness prevailed.
