Hosted by the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs Office’ Division of Youth Services, Division of Sports and Recreation and Saipan Mayor’s Office, the weeklong basketball games will have two age brackets for boys and girls division.
Tournament director, Gabriel White said 13 teams have set for boys team 18-and-under division; 10 teams for boys 14-and-under; four teams for girls 18-and-under and two teams for girls 14-and-under.
During elimination round, all girls’ teams will play.
However, each age brackets will have playoffs among themselves and vie for championships.
The boys’ teams will have the same format.
White said they have yet to finalize the games schedule but most likely, the championship games are expected to be on Jan. 3.
