60s sweep ends as Teack shot 70 to be SGA June ace

This has ended as Jung Eun Teack shot 70 during last Sunday’s Ace of June tournament that also had the lowest number of birdies compared to previous games.

Only four birdies, from among the 18 golfers were celebrated in the Ace of June tournament that was held in Laolao Bay Golf Resort’s west course.

These birdie putts were from Tony Deleon Guerrero in the four-par first hole, Ray Dela Cruz in five-par Hole No. 5, Joe Deleon Guerrero in three-par Hole No. 13 and Ray San Nicolas in the five-par Hole No. 16.

Although he double-bogeyed in Hole No. 2, the 14-handicapper Teack shot at-par in seven holes to fire 6-over par 42 in both nines to finish 70 and won this month’s Ace of June title.

Jose I. Sablan also did not have a birdie putt but managed to close in netting 1-under par 72 to win the second place.

Tony Deleon Guerrero, the first birdie shooter came third as he finished with 73 net while Vicente Aldan settled for the fourth place firing 3-over par 75.

Also making it to the top five was Norbert Sablan who tied with Aldan but lagged behind because he was over by three strokes in Hole No. 2 and four strokes in Hole No. 6.

Hitting the longest drive were Jose Sablan and Ray San Nicolas in Holes 2 and 15 respectively.

Greenies went to Larry Deleon Guerrero, Norbert Sablan, Ray San Nicolas and Tony Deleon Guerrero.
