THE Air Ballers extended their win streak in the Women’s Open Division of the 2025 Allied Pacific Environmental Corporation Basketball League after slipping past MP Raiders, 39-30, at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium on Saturday.

It was a hard-fought clash between the two teams.

In the opening half, the Air Ballers’ Irish Pagarao orchestrated the offense, using her handles and speed to create open looks for her teammates. She fed Raenna Ramarui and Madi Alegre, who finished the half with six and eight points, respectively.

On the other end, things didn’t look good for the MP Raiders, who struggled to find their rhythm. Although Jax Dela Rosa managed to penetrate and score, a lack of support and constant defensive pressure kept them trailing by nine at the halftime break, 22-13.

The MP Raiders reassessed their strategy and returned in the second half with renewed confidence. Valerie Estella, who had only made one free throw in the first half, suddenly caught fire, leading the offensive surge with 11 points.

However, the Air Ballers continued to deliver on the other end. Wilani Sikyang picked up where Ramarui left off, scoring key baskets around the perimeter, while Pagarao knocked down a triple to keep the MP Raiders at bay — sealing the Air Ballers’ third straight win of the season, 39–30.

The first game of the day was claimed by Prime, which notched their second straight win by outplaying the Beach Front Ballers, 48-30. Prime’s Azriel Fatialofa led her team with 16 points.

Scores:

Air Ballers 39 – Madi Alegre 10,  Wilani Sikyang 10, Raenna Ramarui 9, Irish Pagarao 6, Friendly Joy Pena 2, Desrei Camacho 2
