BEARS Jr. bagged another win in the junior division of the 2025 Saipan Little League Baseball on Sunday, beating Cobras Jr. in just three innings at the Francisco “Tan Ko” Palacios Baseball Field.

Bears Jr. had a fairly easy time at the batter’s box, drawing several walks over the course of all three innings.

Bears Jr. took control in the opening inning as Cobras Jr. struggled to find the strike zone, allowing six runs to score on walks. Jabari Olaitiman added to the tally with an RBI single, giving Bears Jr. an early lead.

Despite their strong start, Bears Jr. struggled with errors and walks in the bottom half of the inning.

Cobras Jr. seized the opportunity, scoring seven runs to tie the game at 7-7.

However, Cobras Jr. couldn’t shake off their defensive slump, even after making pitching changes. They continued to issue walks, allowing Bears Jr. to bring in nine more runs in the top of the second inning. Cobras Jr. managed just one run in the bottom half, as Bears Jr. regained the upper hand with a 16-8 lead.

In the third inning, Cobras Jr. tried to slither their way back into the game. Their infield tightened up, limiting the damage to just three runs before recording three outs. However, they remained at risk, still trailing by double digits — putting the 10-run mercy rule into effect.

Cobras Jr. made one last attempt to stay in the game, but managed to score only one run before Bears Jr.’s shortstop, Daniel Camacho, snagged a line drive, followed by a strikeout to end the game early after three complete innings, 19-9.

Joining the winner’s circle were Braves Jr., who dominated the Blue Jays Jr., 26-7.
