Archers down Fixers, 73-67 in Miller Lite caging

With Usi hibernating in the first quarter, the Fixers established the lead as JR Barrios sank two pairs of two-pointers with Moreno Martin baking him up.

Barrios fired a three-pointer and Martin kept his scoring surge to keep the gap wide open in the second quarter, despite the Archers tightening defense.

Usi’s first three-pointer in the early part of the third quarter gave the Archers a momentum, as they continue to put clamps on the Fixers offense.

The Fixers fell behind in the middle of the third, but managed to keep pace as Roger Valencia and John Mark Llagas collected fouls and made their two free-throw shots.

However, with Edmark Mendoza delivering six of his 15 points in the third quarter, the Archers and Usi firing his two three-pointers, the Archers took the lead.

Usi, his brother Mico, Rommel Quinitip and Noel David charged the basket more aggressively as the time dwindle away in the fourth quarter. They connected two-pointers while picking fouls for bonus shot which helped the Archers secure their lead.

Mythical 73, DL Cooking Gas 62

Jun Tabora completed a three-point play in the first quarter and went on to scoring spree to help Mythical pound DL Cooking Gas, 73-62.

His aggressive offense that picked up two fouls while making two-point shots helped secure a six-point lead for Mythical in the first quarter.

Joe Acosta and Matt Buenabajo surged in the second quarter to maintain their advantage.

Francis Rebuyon scored six of his total points, as Tabora kept sizzling with points inside the box and Gilbert Miranda adding four points to keep their lead.
