Archers snap Star Water’s 8-game sweep, 80-73

Guiang helped the Archers boost to a four-point lead in the first quarter.

Sam Fernandez blasted from behind the arc Francis Rebuyon reaped five points from penalty shots ending the first half in a 32-32 deadlock.

Guiang did not score in the third quarter and Star Water pulled away as Jessie Mina fired three-pointers twice and moved ahead with three free throws burying the Archers under nine points advantage.

Sizzling with 10 points, Guiang was back in action in the fourth quarter with Ferry Danipog who backed him up with nine points to take the lead.

Rommel Quinitip and Noel David added six points each and helped the Archers upset Star Water in an 80-73 victory.

PTC 77, Triple J 75

Perry Inos Jr., scattered 39 points in the court leading to Pacific Trading Company to beat Triple J.

Inos carried out most of the successful attacks for the PTC in the first quarter as he bombarded Triple J with three shots from outside the rainbow line. He also basketed his first two free throws to have an early tally of 19 points.

Erlan Lansang also fired a three-pointer to help PTC built the strong ground in the first half.

However, the first quarter ended in a tie.

Inos continued his surge in the second quarter firing nine markers.

Jojo Garon and Art Trajano both added 10 points each.

Both teams tightened defense in the third quarter.

Triple J managed to limit Inos’s scoring to two points and closed the gap to seven points although Lansang released his second three-pointer.

RV Nonato and Jeffrey Pagarao rampaged in the final quarter scoring 10 and seven points respectively to help Triple J closed in.

However, Lansang backed off behind the perimeter and fired his three-point shot while Inos picked fouls and hit five free throws to complete their victory handing Triple J its eighth loss.

Jaypers 82, San Roque 76

Vonvon Tamayo sizzled with 31 points as the Jaypers did not allow San Roque to close in leading to their 82-76 win.

Tamayo fired two three point shots in the third and fourth quarters helping the Jaypers kept the upper ground all the way to the ball game.

Chris Camacho who took it easy in the beginning exerted much of his effort in the defense paving the way for him to fire eight points in the second quarter to stretch the lead.

Mighty David fired a three-point shot as the Jaypers kept lambasting San Roque in the quarter.
