THE Bandits and the Cardinals have advanced in the playoffs of the 2024 Tan Holdings Saipan Baseball League after eliminating their respective adversaries in the quarterfinal games Thursday and Friday at the Francisco “Tan Ko” Palacios Baseball Field.
On Thursday, the Bandits reigned supreme over the Sandlot, 7-1.
A hefty number of Bandits’ runs came in the bottom of the opening inning. After handing the Sandlot three outs, the Bandits’ runs automatically followed by the first six batters rounding the bases along with RBI singles earned.
Although the Bandits were silenced for nearly the rest of the night, the Sandlot continued to struggle with only one run scored in the top of the third after Luiz Diaz earned an RBI via sacrifice fly.
In the bottom of the seventh, the Bandits scored a single run thanks to KJ Deleon Guerrero to clinch victory, 7-1, and move one step closer to the championship round.

Cardinals vs Falcons
The defending champions, the Cardinals, outflew the no. 1 seed, Falcons, 7-4, on Friday.
Both teams started off swinging as they scored a run each in the opening inning. But after a scoreless second inning, the Cardinals started to find their rhythm with Nokki Saralu and Eli Aughenbaugh connecting a single and a double to fill second and third bases. They were brought home by Nate Camacho who capitalized off a scoring opportunity with a two-RBI single that gave his team the lead, 3-1.
In the bottom of the fifth, the Falcons retaliated with three runs, but the Cardinals hit a single run in the top of the sixth for the first deadlock of the day, 4-4.
The Falcons had their wings clipped for the remainder of the game while the Cardinals soared high after Nate Camacho connected another two-RBI single to secure the win, 7-4.
