With Manolo Manalo helping clamp on Star Water’s offense, Barrios built the lead with 13 points in the first quarter while Ruel Cayanan blasted from outside the rainbow line to give the Fixers an eight-point lead at the end of the first quarter.
Jessie Mina rampaged with two-pointers as he inched Star Water‘s way up in the second quarter but Cayanan’s second three-pointer and Barrios’ surge stretched the lead to 11 points.
Barrios sizzled with 11 points including a three-point shot to pull the Fixers farther away in the third quarter, even as Mina and Edwin Santos scored 11 and seven points respectively in an attempt to close in.
Manalo led the rally in the final quarter and the Fixers never looked back as headed to their 88-80 victory.
Westco 70, Club Wonderful 59
Bobby Vargas went 4-for-4 as he led the rally in the final quarter and handed Westco its 70-59 win over Club Wonderful.
Danny Illahi scored six of his 14 points to back Vargas up and secured their lead in the final period.
Vargas, Nelson Samson and Joel Javier kept pace with Club Wonderful with two-pointers and Illahi fired six markers to take the lead in the first quarter.
Samson rampaged in the second quarter to help Westco widen the gap. He tallied 12 points, and Randy Pelisamen added 10 points.
Eugene Mangali sizzled with nine points in the third quarter.
Omar Ajoste scored 18 points for Club Wonderful and Mangali added 13 points.
