Attack, fell short on their bid to reach division finals as they surrendered to team Cliffside Hotel.
The game between the two hotels started out as a close fight as neither team could lead as much as 5 points. But as the match progresses at the final minutes of the final quarter, Eric Basco of Cliffside team shouldered his team as he shot a three point bomb at the wings to extend their lead against the defending champs PPR – Shark Attack. Form there Shark Attack could not come back to the match as their opponent was able to score again to add more points on the scoreboard. The game ended with a final score of 66 – 60 where Eric topscored for the winning team. Cliffside Hotel, with 19 markers. On the other hand, Benny Feliciano and Javis Pedro shot for 15 and 14 for the losing team.
In other playoff matches, Sam’s Sharks held on to a 84 – 77 lead against PPR – Stingrays to earn them the right to meet #1 in standings, Surangel for the playoff knockout match. Fish N Fins won the match against team Island Rhythm with a score of 59 – 51 while PRR – Royals defeated WCTC / Fuji, 84 – 81, then Galaxy Builders barged at team Palasia with a score of 114 – 75.
As a result of the matches, playoff matches continue with Fish N Fins faces off with team Cliffside Hotel on October 20 while PRR – Royals gets to test the Galaxy cagers on October 21.
21 teams split into two divisions, Government and Business, vying for this year’s championship crown. The 2009 Rudimch Enterprise GBL is operated and under the close supervision of the Palau Basketball Federation.
