Beach Boys rout CPA, 11-3 women’s playoff starts next week

Castro drove-in two runs with a single hit in the third inning during which the Beach Boys pounded CPA with four run-scoring hits.

Right fielder Max Casadiang who went into scoring position after hitting a double opened the top of the first and second innings with a tight defense as he prevented Manny De Gracia from leaving the batting plate.

BJ Sablan rocketed a solo home run in the sixth inning.

CPA’s short stop Mel Manahane foiled Darol Atalig and Jun Salalila’s single hit attempt with a double play to end the sixth inning.

Hopwood 15, Mayors Office 13    

Alex Sablan homered in the seventh inning as Hopwood base runners walked their way to scoring position and finished Mayors Office off in the four-run final inning to break their 18-game skid.

Tim Williams hit a run-scoring single in the first inning and drove-in the final run by beating Mayors Office pitcher Ben Tenorio with a go-ahead base-on-ball.

PSS 14, POI 9

Nizer Misayos drove-in two runs with his triple hit in the top of the seventh inning before Frank Arirang sent him home with a sacrifice bat to help Public School System beat Pacific Oriental Inc., 14-9.

Jeff Isaac hit a two-run double in the third and scored two runs himself.

Asap Ogumoro hit a two-run triple in the fourth inning.

PSS scored three runs in the second inning, three runs in the third and three in the final inning.

CUC 17, Finance 13

 In Women’s Division last Monday, Bobby Norita hit a two-run single in the second inning after driving a run in the first as she led Commonwealth Utilities Corp, beat Finance, 17-13.

Claire Sablan hit four singles two of which drove in two runs and tripled Mel Benjamin home in the final inning.

Mel Benjamin herself dove-in two runs with her run scoring single in the second inning and a sacrifice fly in the fifth.
