Knights brave Stormz, 76-44

With Cameron Nicholas, Sean Sablan and Rodney Salas giving the Stormz a narrow way to the goal in the third quarter, the Knights filled their court with points just enough to stay safe in the fourth quarter where they appeared to have started getting exhausted.

Stormz had to deal with a long way to catch up but repeatedly missed many two-point attempts, except for Charlie Jo’s three-pointer two minutes to the buzzer.

Timothy Taguchi picked up fouls and basketed two of his four free throws halfway to the end of the final quarter.

David Kautz and Nicholas helped clamp down the offense with many rebounds.

In Chul Ha and Joseph Park continued the tight defense limiting the Stormz scoring hands to Jo.

Lady Knights 44, Lady Stormz 26

Kaylani Lebria scattered 10 of her 16 points in the third quarter to lift Lady Knights past Lady Stormz, 44-26.

Stormz played the game underhanded with only Denise Samson, Jennifer Sakamoto, Jodel Fernandez, Sarah Lee and Woo Rim Ahn seeing action in the court.

Nikki Lebria who helped tighten the defense hit 10 markers, and Noel Calvo who set most games with her rebounds fired 10 markers.

Justalyn Camacho added six points including the two-point finisher in the last quarter.
