BEN Jones Jr. clinched the Amigos Golf Club February Ace of the Month title with a net score of 137 at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort east course on Sunday.
Jones played well in both the qualifier and ace rounds.
In the qualifier round held on Feb. 4, Jones shot a gross of 78. With a handicap of 9, his net score was 69.
The ace round held on Feb. 18 was much tougher due to the rainy weather, but Jones maintained a steady performance, shooting a gross of 77 for a net score of 68 and a net total of 137, which gave him the February Ace of the Month title.
Twenty-four golfers competed in the tournament.
For the optional play, the Par 3 winners were Joe Torres on hole #4; Dung Tenorio, hole #6; Ned Norita, hole #11; and Syl Ada, hole #15. Each winner was awarded $120.
The March qualifier is slated for March 3, at 8:30 a.m. at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort west course.
