The newly crowned champs completed the season on a perfect eight win-no loss record before upsetting Guintu and Obata, 21-18, 21-13.
The runner-ups took on back-to-back games last Saturday, where they played Ferdie Arago and Annette Quiambao in their first game. Guintu and Obata lost their first set, 19-21, but returned on 21-7 and 21-18 victories.
Joel Ortega and Kim Boranah also clinched the class C title in a two-set match versus Kanata Omori and Cleofe Santos (21-14, 21-14). The duo eliminated Brandon Talania and Windy Fernandez to reach the championship.
The Ortega-Boranah duo ended the season on five wins and one loss while Omori and Santos went undefeated with six wins.
In other games, Guintu and Hannah advanced from the class A semifinals after a 21-10, 21-14 win over Ferdie Arago and Lanie Bartolome.
Arago and Bartolome also lost to Macoi Aguda and Marlene Peraja (19-21, 21-15, 21-18) to settle for fourth place.
Aguda and Peraja had earlier defeated Hapi Gabriel and Malou Malasarte, 21-13, 21-14 before reaching the class A’s top three.
Obata and Oh Imbog moved up from Saturday’s class B semis after a 21-18, 21-11 win over Lito Mendoza and Marylyn Montano.
Mendoza and Montano crushed Saul Gargallo and Quiambao (21-19, 18-21, 23-21) for third place in a following game.
