TRUE North Broken Tip gunned down Black8 Shoot It N’ Boot It, 9-6, in the Thursday B “Flame Tree” division of the 2024 SEDA Bud Light Dart League at the True North Bar on Thursday.
Shoot It N’ Boot It lost their first game in the opening 301 Double In/Double Out match, but Jio Olopai triumphed with a 17.71 PPD while teammates Vince Tudela and John Mario Jr scored a win each to give Shoot It N’ Boot It the upper hand, 3-1.
But after splitting the Partners Crazy Cricket match, 1-1, Shoot It N’ Boot It suddenly lost control in the Partners 501 match as Broken Tip’s Mark Castro notched a 45.63 PPD with his partner Ezra Helgen. This was followed by another win by teammates Anthony Camacho and Steve Santos to even the score, 4-4.
The Singles Regular Cricket matches were a testament to individual prowess and that was where Broken Tip excelled. Although Santos lost the first game, Helgen, Castro and Joke Delos Reyes covered his back with three consecutive wins to grasp the lead, 7-5.
Shoot It N’ Boot It tried to stay alive but could only claim one more win before bowing down to Broke Tip, 6-9.

Joining the winner’s circle were The Hut Ridin’ Darrty, which slipped past Jonny’s Boozeye, 8-7; Tambayan It Is What It Is, which silenced Tomyum Darty Vibes, 15-0; and Spicy Thai Take Flight, which edged Last Shot Parakeyu, 8-7.
