Chambers, Braig top Kids XTERRA

Sporting his giant bike, Chambers won his first of the season with 9 minutes and 45 seconds which broke his last record.

 Chamber’s big improvement, according to XTERRA organizers Michael Stewart was in the swim as the boy’s speed this time is 26 seconds faster, from 3:31 to 3-05.

His biking proved to help, also dropping 7 seconds as he   backed down on the back stretch of the run, but had the race well in hand.

Behind him was Steven Goodwin with a time of 10 minutes and 40 seconds. Steven also had a big improvement on biking also dropping 7 seconds.

In the 10-and-under division, Maxi Braig who topped last April’s first Kids XTERRA finishing 15 minutes and four seconds was undefeated as he finished first for the third straight race this time.

His winning time of 13:40, was helped along with his best swim time of 3:09 for the 200 meters.
