Despite falling behind in Game 2, where he scored 138 pin falls, Cruz’ 195 provided the cushion.
So when he recovered in Game 3 knocking down 172 pins, Cruz regained the upper hand. He struggled again in Game 4 with 138 pin falls again, but tallied a total of 643 to remain ahead of everybody and win the February Prince of the Lanes title.
MJ Aldan who beat Cruz in Game 2 with his 154 pin falls ended up 17 pin falls behind him to win the second place.
Marion McKenzie tallied 618 pin falls and settled for third place.
Also making it to the Top 5 were Leeanne Yarobwemal who struck a total of 617 pins and Nikko Gutierrez who finished with 559 pin falls.
In the King & Queen of the Lanes tilt, Gigi Zapanta dominated Game 3 and Game 4 and knocked down a total of 663 pins to win the February crown.
Tess Sablan had 588 pin falls to win the second place and Elena Soll finished with 572 pin falls to settle for third place.
In the men’s division, Russelle Zapanta went strong in Game 2 and Game 3 to secure this month’s title with 761 pin falls.
Former Prince of the Lanes, Raphael Zapanta who led the Game 1 with 200 pin falls struggled in Game 3 to settle for second place tallying a total of 726 pin falls.
Jared Gutierrez was strong in Game 3 with 195 pin falls but went behind in the rest of the rounds to clinch the third place with a total of 678 pin falls.
