CTSI/Friendly Market/DPA Car Mart continues its steady pace in the open division of the 2nd Saipan Magalahi Eagles Club – Saipan MagaHaga Lady Eagles Group Basketball Tournament as they bagged their second win by dismantling Villaroyal Pawnshop with ease, 109-63, at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium on Sunday.

CTSI/Friendly Market/DPA Car Mart quickly established control in the opening half with each player on the floor contributing on both ends of the court.

The chemistry among Jude Tengco, Alex Ales, and John Thongaram highlighted the first 10 minutes of the game. Complemented by great defensive coverage and transition plays, the three excelled as they worked as one to score the first 15 points for their team and take the early lead.

Villaroyal Pawnshop did stand their ground thanks to the efforts of Ben Vintero and Jomar Tengco, but they lacked the needed support. For their part, CTSI/Friendly Market/DPA Car Mart’s Justine Enano and Christian Bravo added firepower throughout the remainder of the half to push a double-digit advantage, 50-19.

Villaroyal Pawnshop did not accept defeat and tried to put up a fight. They returned to the second half with more confidence and aggression, this time with more players putting in the work. Vincent Lumen and Tiago Akyat delivered a series of buckets while Jose Brancano Jr. Meldin Raro, and Rodolfo Catindig Jr. contributed additional points.

However, they continued to struggle on the defensive end while CTSI/Friendly Market/DPA Car Mart easily found the bottom of the net to remain afloat en route to victory, 109-63.

In other games, Mekus powered past K Pro, 83-54, while Elite trounced Unity Trade, 93-54.
