BLACK 8 Darty Minds took home the Bud Light Cup in the Ladies Division of the 2023 SEDA Bud Light Dart League by outscoring the no. 1 seed, 6JMS Vicious, 8-3, at the 6JMS Sports Bar on Monday, Oct. 23.
The Darty Minds found their stroke early as they complemented each other with teamwork. Dayna Williams and Shirley Mendiola worked as a team to bag the first game while teammates Raygina Saka and Ernestina Agulto swept the Partners 501 match, 2-0.
In the one-on-one scene, Vicious’s Frances Magofna and Mary-Lois Blaluk bested their opponents, but Darty Minds Jamata Castro and Tahannie Dela Torre snagged the other two games to split the Singles Crazy Cricket match.
Another split was seen in the Partners 701 match as the Darty Minds remained in control, 5-3.
Vicious began to build momentum, but it was cut short in the Singles Half-It match as Darty Minds’ Dela Torre, Mendiola, and Agulto triumphed to collect three consecutive wins to clinch the match and claim the championship, 8-3.
