It was a sure win for the Dolphins as sisters Jeralyn and Jeraldine Castillo dominated the court. Jeraldine Castillo scored 13 points alone in the first quarter and ending strong with 6 points contributing 21 points over all. Sister Jeralyn followed the strong winning momentum with the security of 8 points from her.
Along with the Castillo sisters came teammate Kriz Gozon chipping in her nine pence not only dominating over the Manta Rays, but securing their win as well working with Kirstin Guevarra’s 6 points.
The older lady Dolphins kicked the Lady Mantas out of the waters as Dolphin player Lia Rangamar bagged 12 points playing fiercely with teammate Anna Pua who contributed her 6 points to grab the lead in the first quarter of the game by 14 points, 24-10.
The lady Mantas fought fiercely in the second quarter with Co Teregeyo bagging 6 points for the Mantas.
Unfortunately this was not enough for the lone Manta star as Jeraldine collared another 6 points for MHS working with teammates Lia Rangamar and Jamoe Mendoza to navigate the ball back home.
By half time the Dolphin team was leading by 23 immense points, 44-21.
Faith did not dwindle for team Manta as they entered the second half of the game. But it was history for them nonetheless because they were only able to achieve to lay up shots in the entire third quarter.
Crowd favorite Jamie Mendoza was able to slip past the Manta’s defense numerous times to bank in 9 points for the Dolphin team. Anna Pua and Sherlaine Riviera jumped into the winning band wagon by depositing 4 points a piece in the finals minutes of the third quarter, 73-25.
The fatigue driven Manta Rays entered the final quarter strongly but not strong enough to defeat the lady Dolphins on their own turf. As the siren rang the score board heralded an 80-35 score in favor of the lady Dolphins.
