Easy regroups to clinch Masters top slot; Tasi turns ire at 9ers

Reinforced by towering centers, Joe Tudela and Eric Plinske, Easy Does It put up a stonewall defense to curb Shakir’s Realty’s score to 12 points in the first quarter.

The Realtors who completed five wins in a row struggled this time with the absence of top scorers, Art Trajano and Francis Rebuyon obviously crippling them the entire game.

Edgar Pangelinan scored 16 of his 33 points in the first quarter including a pair of three-pointer while Oscar Sablan and Marlon Sison combined 10 points to pound the Realtors in this period.

Eric Plinske and Emir Abuan both streaked in the second quarter firing three two-pointers successively to pull Easy Does It away.

Easy Does It took it a bit easy in the third quarter but this did not hold them back that much as the Realtors’ shooting continued to slump, with only Bernie Ebuen connecting six two-pointers and a three-point shot.

Shakir’s Realty was still down by 20 points at the end of the third quarter. Bearing in mind they are dealing with one of Masters’ power house teams Easy Does It did not want to ease just yet.

Pangelinan and Sison surged to 11 points apiece in the fourth quarter Sablan added five, Plinske and Abuan combined eight points and Easy Does It showed no mercy to post their sixth win, 110-57.

Tasi Tours 101, 9ers 70

Ray Diaz scored season high 50 points and Bobby Geli improved his shooting prowess to 24 points leading Tasi Tours to their second victory over the 9ers.

With Diaz sizzling with 22 of his total points in the first quarter including two three-pointers, and Geli scored eight of his 24 points, Tasi Tour set the wide gap.

Diaz kept his adrenaline surge to help Tasi Tours maintain the lead in the second quarter. Resty Ancheta and Geli added four apiece in this period.

Joel Buniag who did not see much action in the first quarter went ballistic for the 9ers in the second quarter hitting three times from the three-point line. He shot thee-pointers again in the third and fourth quarters to finish with 17 points in a losing attempt to close in.

George Poquiz scored 18 for the 9ers.

Tasi Tours have already established an insurmountable lead but Diaz continued to sizzle with 11 points, Geli, Sablan and Ancheta chipping in four more points and Tasi Tours never looked back.
