Eleven Tiger’s Sunjoon Tenorio gathers for the long pass during a game of the Marianas Soccer League 1 held at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
ELEVEN Tiger and the Latte Football Club earned separate victories on Sunday in the Marianas Soccer League 1 at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
Eleven Tiger silenced the Paire Football Club, 5-0.
It was a game of timing and that was where Eleven Tiger excelled. After five minutes of play, they decided to apply pressure and caught PFC off guard with Brandon Tenorio scoring a goal for a 1-0 advantage.
Although PFC recovered defensively and held their ground for the next 25 minutes, Eleven Tiger eventually broke through, this time with Tanapon Unsa finding the back of the net to make it 2-0.
The second half only solidified Eleven Tiger’s lead.
Unsa connected his second shot while teammate David Mafnas scored two minutes later.
Before PFC waved the white flag, Unsa managed to complete the hat-trick at the 71st mark to seal the deal, 5-0.
Latte vs NMI U15 NT
Joining the winner’s circle was the Latte Football Club, which slipped past NMI U15 NT, 5-3.
U15 NT drew first blood thanks to the quickness of Chan Seo Yeom, who scored a goal at the eighth minute mark.
But Latte replied with three goals — two from Xiongzhe Li and one from Rasg Andon — to take over the lead, 3-1.
Latte continued to ride the momentum as Andon took over the highlight reel with two consecutive goals to complete the hat-trick and further extend the deficit, 5-1.
U15 NT did not go down without a fight as they cooked up a late-game rally with two goals scored by Yeom and Rooney Gil. But with little time left, they failed to equalize and had to bow down to Latte, 3-5.
