Eparwa’s steady play earned him an average of 206.75 pins per game, landing the champ above Raphael Zapanta and February winner Robert Talavera.
Zapanta — winning second place — dominated game one last Saturday with 239 pinfalls, and followed with 234 on game two. He came short with 142 by game three, but ended strong at 204 in game four.
Eparwa tallied 219, 190, 213, and 205 pinfalls from games one to four on Sunday to take the men’s title.
Talavera mustered 190 pinfalls in game one, edged Eparwa, 225-190 at game two, and scored 235 in game three. He finished off with 165 for 815 pinfalls overall and a 203.75 average. Zapanta gained 819 pinfalls with a 204.75 average.
Camacho scored 183, 186, 144, and 158 on Saturday, averaging 167.75 pinfalls per game and topping the women’s division. She completed the two-day roll-off with 666 pinfalls on Sunday. March winner Gloria Omechelang came second at 644 pinfalls (161 average), followed by Ron Cal (638 total, 159.5 average).
Eparwa and Camacho earned $90 and $75, respectively for winning the tournament. Zapanta earned $45, Talavera received $35, Omechelang won $35, and Cal bagged $25.
This year’s monthly winners also include: Simon Manacop and Omechelang (March), Talavera and Cal (February), and Raymond Zapanta and Yho Villavicencio (January).
