THE Falcons continue to soar high in the 2024 SBL Masters League, beating the Brewers, 7-2, at the Francisco “Tan Ko” Palacios Baseball Field on Monday.
The Brewers were looking good with a solo run contributed by Manny Sablan’s single for an RBI in the top of the opening inning. They also seemed able to hold their ground on the defensive end as they kept the Falcons quiet for the next three innings.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, however, the Falcons started to brew a comeback.
Despite their first batter being out on a flyball, two runs followed Mario Aguon’s two-RBI single, and two more runs were added due to an error.
With Jess Tenorio’s RBI single, the Falcons solidified their lead.
Although the Brewers were able to break the silence with a run scored in the top of the sixth inning, the Falcons responded with two more runs scored in the bottom of the sixth.
The Brewers still had one last chance in the top of the seventh inning, but they were left with a runner on second base as the Falcons secured the three outs needed to end the game, 7-2.
