The Armatechs pulled away from the Ol Aces after Martin Moreno scored 7 points to yank the lead early into the game by 4 points, 23-19.
During the second quarter of the game the Ol Aces tried their best to catch up to the Armatechs after team players Ernie Fernandez and Elias Rangamar banked 6 points a piece while their teammate Eric Atalig contributed his four pence to close the gap.
Armatech answered this challenge in their special way. Bernard Montano along with teammates Sonny Ebuen and Bong Malasarte each scored 6 points a piece to widen the gap to 7 strong points by half time, 47-40.
Both teams entered the game with strong spirits and courage. But this time around, the Armatechs were ready to create an immovable defense barrier against the Ol Aces so they could not score more than a total of 11 points.
On the other hand the Armatechs took advantage of the Ol Aces’ weak defense to shoot for more points. Montano scored another 9 points for team Armatech while teammates Ebuen, Edwin Arenae, Frank Beilo, and Martin Moreno each contribute 4 points to leave the Ol Aces behind by 25 points at the bottom of the third quarter, 76-51.
Fatigue got the better part of the Ol Aces in the last quarter of the game but the Armatechs took no time for remorse. Team Player Ebuen scored another 10 points while teammates Leo Canedo and Martin Moreno bucketed 6 points and 4 points respectively.
The Ol Aces refused to go down without a fight, lone star Ernie Fernandez scored a whopping record of 12 points in one quarter while teammate Eric Atalig scored 4 points but the damage was too hard already as the gap between the first three quarters had built up.
By the end of the game the Armatech’s secured their lead and win by 27 points, 102-75.
