From a one point lead in the first quarter, the Ferreras stormed 18 points ahead in the second half. James Abuy and Jhun Abedes survived the third quarter with two three-pointers each, outgunning Atalig’s Jessie Mina and Budz Camacho.
Mina, piling 21 points in the first half, couldn’t score another basket in the final quarter. CJ Castro joined Camacho in the offense, striking layups past Ferrera’s Gil Miranda and James Abuy.
Abuy started well in the first quarter, shooting jumpers with Miranda. Ferrera’s Andy Mortos scored one layup before getting fouled. He pulled an extra point from his free throw before moving on with another basket.
The Ferreras pulled farther ahead when Abuy and Abedes shot three pointers past the Ataligs’ crumbling defense.
Scoring 15 points in the fourth quarter, Camacho and Castro couldn’t pick up the pace for the Ataligs. Jessie Mina stacked 30 points however, beating Ferrera’s lead scorer James Abuy, who had 26.

Grocer 75, IT&E 74
Winning wasn’t so easy for the Pacific Grocers, who edged team IT&E 75-74 in another game of the QQ basketball league last Friday.
The game wasn’t decided until the last seconds of the match, when Grocer’s Eugene Mangali saved his team with a three-pointer.
IT&E’s Ivan De Vero proved too quick for the Grocers, especially combined with Joy Dayrit and Marlon De Dios.
De Vero earned eight points in the final quarter, along with Dayrit who scored five.
Leo Apelo, who pummeled through IT&E defenders in the first half, couldn’t secure the Grocers’ victory alone.
Back-to-back two-pointers from N. Park and Dayrit kept the IT&Es close to their foes.
Grocer’s Joel Javier recovered his missed baskets at the end, earning four points for the Grocers.
