First baseman Ian Rogolifoi delivered a crowd-roaring three-run triple to lift the Fielders, 5-4 at the top of the second.
The Ol’ Aces had earlier scored four runs from Verlance Secharmidal’s stolen base, a sacrifice bat from Zack Yamagishi, and Zach Sasamoto’s errors.
Fielders’ Gayvon Uchau hit an RBI single to drive Guerrero in and Sasamoto pushed Jerry Kintol home on a hit by pitch.
The Aces tallied two more runs from Jesse Brel and Oscar Setefano, but lost momentum in the next three innings.
Cody Kaipat replaced Sasamoto at the top of the third and sent Khobby Kaipat home on an RBI walk. Mason Fruit scored the Fielders’ eighth run on a sacrifice liner and Miko Gabionza stole to home plate at the top of the fifth.
Jesse Brel went 2-for-4 to lead the Aces with two runs and two singles.
Khobby and Cody Kaipat, Kintol, Fruit, Guerrero, Sasamoto, and Gayvon Uchau scored one run each.
The Fielders held a regular season record of 11 wins and one loss to bag the pennant title. They will face the Martha Retail Store-BTS Program Survivors next Saturday, May 7.
Fielders 8, Ol’ Aces 3
The senior division’s Tan Siu Lin Foundation Fielders also triumphed with an 8-3 win over the Ol’ Aces on Monday night.
Poland Masaharu went 3-for-3 and led the Fielders with three runs, two singles, and a double. Carl Camacho bagged two RBI singles at the top of the second, driving Lieto and Masaharu in.
The Ol’ Aces drew no runs in the first four innings but finally scored on an RBI triple from left fielder David Hosono.
Fielders’ pitchers Carl Camacho and Jared Lizama struck out nine overall and walked three in the last three innings. Catcher Peter Lieto earned three runs despite getting hit twice by Aces’ pitcher Jake Santos.
