JR Barrios riddled Club Wonderful with 28 points to secure the lead in the three quarters before slowing it down in the final period to savor their sixth victory.
Sinking first of his two three-pointers, Barrios led the Fixers’ offense to put up a 10-point lead at the end of the first quarter.
With John Artates by his side pacing the team with six penalty shots, Barrios continued the surge all the way to the third quarter scoring 17 more points.
Then, the wide gap gave him time to take a break.
Meanwhile, Artates, Boy Garcia and Manolo Manalo kept clamping on Wonderful’s offense and Ruel Cayanan fired his second three-pointer to help the team move ahead towards their victory.
Olivos 75, MIGS 62
Melvin Capalad and Buds Camacho sizzled with 11 and 10 points in the fourth quarter respectively as Olivos showed now mercy stomping MIGS with 13-point lead victory.
Capalad placed Olivos in the higher ground in the first quarter then, he and Camacho mounted the attack to maintain the gap towards the end of the first half.
Melbert Dela Rama went ballistic in the third quarter firing his second and third three-point shots for the MIGS, and John Jugos rampaged with eight points to tie the ball game.
Rusty Doronilla also blasted from behind the arc, his second three-pointer, then, fired another three-point shot in the fourth quarter to help the MIGS stay alive.
But this did not stun Olivos’ scoring hands.
Camacho and Capalad controlled the offense again and paced Fixers with two-pointers while picking up fouls. They basketed their free throw shots and gained the upper ground back.
