The first Fundraiser Softball Tournament for Naki that was held from June 26 to 28 at the Capital Hill Ball Field and Miguel Tange Basa Pangelinan was participated in by eight teams—that include, Yo Mama, UR Balls, Karidat, Pac-Ching, Lali-4 and Na-Hurts.
Yo Mama won the championship crown over UR Balls.
During yesterday’s meeting for the second tournament, organizer, Janice Camacho said Saipal and Natibu one of the regular teams in the annual Budweiser Inter-government/Business Softball Tournament are joining fundraiser tournament for Kani.
The second tournament will open at 6 p.m., on Friday at the Capital Hill Ballfield.
Celis who was hospitalized more than a month ago after falling from a mango tree was brought to the Asian Hospital in the Philippines on a medical referral.
According to his daughter Julie, the operation on his back bone was successful and his family is now preparing to bring him back home. They are just waiting for the Continental Airlines advise on the availability of seats fro Celis.
